MBHS Soccer (boys)
Soccer (boys) | 2015-16 Season
The 20015-16 Boys Soccer Team made great strides and narrowly missed this year’s CIF Playoffs. We play in a very strong high school soccer league, where the league champion is generally competing to be CIF Champion as well. Our team is talented, young and hungry and we are looking for incoming athletes to add to that mix. The Head coach is Andrew Wilkie.
Soccer involves a great deal of running. Every player who plans on trying out for a team is expected to be in shape. Part of player evaluation will be made based upon the pre-season preparation of players. This also includes filling out all paperwork before the first practice (physicals, release forms, eligibility, etc.) No one may practice until ALL paperwork is filled out. Uniforms will be issued, and will prioritize those who are eligible to participate on the first day of practice.
Players are also encouraged to try out for and compete on one of the local soccer club teams. Playing on a club team acquaints you with many other players from the region, and thus the participants are able to learn about the universal camaraderie between soccer players.
