Volleyball (girls) | 2016 Season

Girls’ Volleyball is a rapidly growing sport. Its combination of power, quickness and excitement make it fun to play as well as watch. An example of volleyball’s growth and excitement is the Reno Volleyball Festival which attracts over 700 teams of high school aged girls. The sheer number of competitors makes it one of the largest and exciting all-female events in the world.  The Pirates are excited about our 5th year head coach, James Bueno.  James comes from a “volleyball family” and brings a wealth of volleyball knowledge to our program.  Keep your eyes on these Pirates, they are on the move.

The volleyball program focuses on learning to compete in a team environment. This focus allows players to develop confidence, self-discipline, and motivation necessary to accomplish goals in any walk of life.  Team sports encourage, among other things, learning, laughing, crying, winning, losing and just plain having fun with friends and teammates. These memories and friendships will be cherished for years.
